About This Conference
Welcome to the Plant Tissue Culture and Genome Engineering Conference
Welcome to the Plant Tissue Culture and Genome Engineering conference to be held in Santa Susanna, Barcelona, Spain, on May 10-13, 2026. Registration is open to participants from both academia and industry, and abstract submissions for oral presentations are strongly encouraged.

This collaborative meeting is organized by academics on a non-profit basis, dedicated exclusively to academic purposes. We will discuss both in vitro plant cell and tissue culture, including molecular aspects of plant cell pluripotency, differentiation, regeneration, and somatic embryogenesis, as well as modern genome engineering technologies. This collaborative event will bring together leading scientists from academia and industry, providing a great opportunity to establish multilateral collaborations with the ultimate goal of generating practical applications for crop improvement.

The event will take place at the AquaHotel Onabrava & Spa (see Accommodations), situated in the tranquil coastal town of Santa Susanna, just outside Barcelona, Spain. This well-connected location, easily accessible by train or car, offers a peaceful and comfortable setting, ideal for focused exchanges and productive discussions.
